When someone asks me what my favorite “this-that-or-the-other” is, I don’t throw out the first answer that pops in my head. Instead, I carefully go through all the options to determine which one best represents me. I always think, “Which option truly says ‘yup, that’s Brittney.’” Maybe I do this because I’m a bit of an over-analyzer, or maybe it’s my personality wanting to show its truest colors. After all, I’d like to think that my most loved likes and my most despised dislikes speak a-thing–or-two about my personality. Would you agree?
Did you know that some people believe there is a connection between your preferences and your personality traits? For example, there is an area of psychology, called color psychology, which studies the correlation between what colors we prefer and our character traits. We see people trying to put preference and personality together all the time. Have you seen headlines like, “What your favorite coffee says about you”? So, when someone asked me what my favorite dessert was, I got to thinking…. “What does your favorite dessert say about you?”
